Create database deployments that use Oracle RAC and Oracle Data Guard together
|
Previously, you could create a database deployment hosting a 2-node Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC) clustered database or you could create a database deployment hosting an Oracle Data Guard configuration of two single-node, single-instance databases as the primary and standby. Now, you can create a database deployment that takes advantage of both technologies: an Oracle Data Guard configuration where the primary and standby are each 2-node Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC) clustered databases.

Improvements in the deployment creation wizard
|
The wizard you use to create database deployments now groups similar fields together in a more intuitive fashion and it minimizes clutter by adding an “Advanced Settings” section.
See "Creating a Database Deployment", "Provision New Oracle Database Cloud Service: Service Page", and "Provision New Oracle Database Cloud Service: Service Details Page" in Using Oracle Database Cloud - Database as a Service.
